JCDecaux is a global leader in outdoor advertising with operations in 3,400 cities across 54 countries. Their advertising reaches 175 million people throughout the world every day.

A proud supporter of Mater Little Miracles and Mater Foundation, JCDecaux are bringing the story of little miracles Jack and Hamish Rose to the commuters of Brisbane through their Citylight panels.

Jack and Hamish were born with an extremely rare disorder—Jeune syndrome—that limits growth and subsequently restricts the development of the liver, kidney and lungs. When Jack was two years old both his kidneys stopped working and he had no option but to spend 13 hours a night attached to a dialysis machine until he could have a transplant.

After months of waiting and worrying, the Rose family’s calls for help were finally answered—a suitable kidney had been donated and within hours Jack was at the hospital ready for surgery. The Mater remains a second home for the Rose family as Jack and Hamish receive ongoing care.

Thanks to JCDecaux, Jack and Hamish’s story has appeared on more than 600 Citylights in the past year along the South-East and Inner-Northern Busways and main railways stations including Central, Roma Street and Fortitude Valley.

JCDecaux is proud to support Mater Little Miracles. “If the key to helping the Mater Foundation achieve their goals is community awareness then we knew we could help. JDCecaux is proud to contribute to such a worthy cause and looks forward to a strong and prosperous relationship with the Mater Foundation.”

The panels have been seen by on average 356,000 people every week and appeals to the public to support Mater Little Miracles and help the Mater Children’s and Mothers’ Hospitals care for thousands of babies and children like Jack and Hamish.
