The true measure of success in fundraising lies in what has been achieved with the money raised.

Philanthropy and fundraising comes in all shapes and sizes—from one person making a donation or buying a lottery ticket to community groups and companies working with charities to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. The one thing these acts have in common is a desire to help those in need.

The generosity of Mater Foundation supporters has allowed the Foundation to provide almost $14 million of funding to over a thousand projects across the Mater Hospitals and the Mater Medical Research Institute (MMRI) in the last five years alone.

These funds touch patients from pregnant mothers and their unborn babies through to the terminally ill. Funding for the MMRI supports a range of research programs with the potential to change the lives of people worldwide.

As well as meeting current needs, the Foundation sets aside funds to ensure it can support the work of the Mater Hospitals and MMRI well into the future.
