Everyone was in high spirits at the fourth annual Mater Nursing and Midwifery Alumni reunion on Friday 6 November.
Free to members, the reunion was held at the Stones Throw Café Bar at Stones Corner for the second year running, and was attended by more than 40 Alumni members and guests.
“The reunion is the perfect opportunity for members to get together, unwind and relax after another busy year,” said Cheryl Clayton, Alumni Chairperson.
Guests were treated to a selection of hot and cold canapés, fork dishes and dessert throughout the evening.
During her speech Cheryl reviewed the year and talked about some of the new developments for 2010—including the launch of the new look Alumni News.
Cheryl also thanked retiring Council members and presented a special gift to Pat Snowden in recognition of her contribution to the establishment and development of the Alumni prior to her retirement earlier this year. “Pat was integral in the development of the Alumni and we thank her for her valuable support, commitment and enthusiasm,” said Cheryl.
Guests didn’t go home empty handed, receiving a bag of goodies to takeaway at the end of the night.
