Part of this extensive network of open space and parks are the new $30 million Robelle Domain family parkland and Discovery Park. The world class Robelle Domain has a zero-depth wet playground, treetop walk and covered amphitheatre, while Discovery Park has a pirate ship, lookout shelters, barbeque facilities, an amphitheatre and realistic wildlife sculptures.

Sports and recreation

The Regatta Lake is perfect for water sports like canoeing, kayaking, or model boat sailing.
Springfield Lakes also has active sports leagues and other activity clubs, including walking, running and stroller groups.

One new family moves to Springfield Lakes everyday – which means a lot of new children attending local schools.
The following schools cater for pre-school to Year 12 students: Springfield Central High School, Springfield Central State Primary School, Springfield Lakes State School, Woodcrest College, the Springfield Anglican College, St Augustine’s Catholic College, St Peters Lutheran College, Augusta State School and Staines Memorial College.

In 2013 the new Good Shepherd Catholic School opened and a range of kindergartens have recently opened in the local area.

Mater's newest hospital, Mater Private Hospital Springfield is a truly innovative, unique and contemporary hospital providing holistic healthcare to the Greater Springfield community.

Located in Springfield Central the stage one development offers an 80 bed, $85 million hospital to offer medical and surgical services for overnight and day patients, including a dedicated day oncology service.
