An estimated one in seven men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime—and sadly nine Australian men die from the disease every single day.*
These distressing figures affect fathers, sons, brothers, grandfathers and families everywhere. With prostate cancer being the most common cancer among Australians after non-melanoma skin cancer, research into the disease has never been so important.
With your support, a number of clinicians and researchers at Mater Research—Mater’s very own world-class research institute—are working around the clock to better understand, treat and ultimately prevent prostate cancer.
You can make an immediate impact and help prostate cancer patients being treated at Mater by signing up for Climb for Cancer or supporting Ten4Men and raising the funds needed to help our researchers look for new ways to treat, and ultimately, prevent prostate cancer.
