Benefits for employees
By making regular donations through your pre-tax pay, you can support Mater Foundation for as little as $2 per pay, and receive an immediate tax saving.
You can also choose how much you would like to give; there’s no need to remember to make your donation each month; you can opt out at any time; and your company may agree to match your donation dollar-for-dollar.
Benefits for employers
Workplace Giving is a simple way to increase your organisation’s involvement with the community. It’s a powerful way to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and commitment to causes that your staff care deeply about.
By setting up tax-deductible donations through payroll giving for your staff, you can create a more connected workplace where giving is a joint effort between you and your staff.
- Increase your company's charitable giving with little extra effort or cost
- Enhance your organisations’ corporate social responsibility and community profile; and
- Promote the level of charitable giving your company has achieved.
Your company’s payroll/HR team is responsible for implementing your Workplace Giving program and transferring the donations directly to Mater Foundation.
Company ‘Gift Matching’ programs
We encourage businesses to enhance their staff’s Workplace Giving program by electing to implement a gift-matching program.
For example, when an employee gives $5 from their pre-tax pay and their employer then matches it, Mater Foundation receives $10 which will be directed to where the funds are needed most. Importantly an employee’s take home pay amount is only reduced by $3.38.*
Some of our current Workplace Giving partners include Accenture, Bayer Crop Science, Bupa, Ernst & Young, King & Wood Mallesons, NAB, Qld Police Service, Pullman Mercure, Telstra, Thiess and Veda.
Our staff can also tailor a presentation to explain the work of Mater Foundation and the benefits of Workplace Giving to your company. Please contact us to arrange a presentation in your workplace.
