Mater Foundation maintains the highest standards around legal and ethical fundraising practices and is a member of professional fundraising and marketing organisations that promote good fundraising practices and have prescribed codes of conduct. These include Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA), Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA), Public Fundraising Regulatory Authority (PFRA) and Data Governance Australia (DGA).
Like many Australian and International Charities, Mater Foundation engages with community through a broad suite of fundraising activities, including Regular Giving through face-to-face and door-to-door interactions. Our Regular Giving program is one of the most effective and efficient ways to raise funds and provides us with the financial confidence to commit to the long-term funding of health, education and research projects at Mater. Without the conversations our face-to-face and door-to-door teams have, a huge amount of the research we are currently doing just wouldn’t be happening. In 2016, Mater Foundation contributed $15m to research. This contribution has largely been made possible by the very generous support of regular donors and lottery supporters that have joined us through face-to-face and door-to-door interactions.
Mater Foundation also recruits Regular Givers through telemarketing, online and direct mail.
