Sports presenter Sam Squiers supports House for Life

Well-known sports presenter Sam Squiers is getting behind this year’s House for Life as the Ambassador of the project which will raise funds for Mater Little Miracles.

Sam, her husband Ben and their daughter Imogen ‘Immi’, paid a visit recently to The Surrounds, Helensvale,  to see how the spectacular four-bedroom custom-built home, by Plantation Homes, was progressing.

Once complete, the Hampton’s style home will go under the hammer on 8 September 2019 to support sick and premature babies being cared for at Mater Mothers’ Hospital’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU).

Immi was born at 32 weeks at Mater weighing only 1.34 kg. She was confronted with a number of health issues and spent seven weeks at Mater’s NCCU. She received exceptional care at Mater which is why Sam decided to be involved in the House for Life project.

“I have experienced first-hand the incredible work and commitment of Mater’s NCCU for all sick and premature babies and the level of care Imogen has had so far on her road to Sam Squiers with wife and child.recovery.  We had a challenging journey ahead of us as a family, but we knew that Mater was with us all the way,” Sam said.

This House for Life marks the 8th year that Plantation Homes has built and auctioned a home for Mater Little Miracles.  This year all proceeds will go to the cause thanks to Villawood Properties donating the land.

House for Life is made possible due to a number of generous volunteer tradespeople and suppliers who donate their time and resources to build the stunning family home.

This year’s House for Life is the largest to date featuring a spacious master bedroom with ensuite and two dressing rooms.  The designer kitchen will feature a walk-in butler’s pantry, SMEG™ appliances and a Caesarstone™ grand island bench.

There are five designated living spaces for entertaining family and friends and the property will boast a stunning pool.
