Although she is now a mother to four children under five, with the youngest born at Mater only two months ago—Vian’s path to motherhood was a challenging journey.

Having overcome uterine cancer and several miscarriages before becoming a mum, Vian is beyond grateful for the support she received during her pregnancy.

“Life is good; I am grateful. There are many others who go through similar struggles, so I want to give back by raising funds for Mater,” Vian said.

Vian’s hopes to raise at least $8000 by Christmas, to help purchase a cot for Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU). On Sunday 22 November, Vian held her first fundraiser—a piano concert, where she played as the Principal of Harmonies Music Centre—and is planning more activities to come.

Thank you for your support, Vian! It truly makes the world of difference to the families of seriously ill and premature babies born and cared for at Mater.
