Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science, where we celebrate the contributions made by women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine, otherwise known as 'STEM'.
In acknowledgement International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we'd like you to meet some of the wonderful ladies who comprise the Queensland Family Cohort Study team. This is a landmark research project was founded at Mater Mothers' Hospital, and will examine the health of families right across Queensland.
The Queensland Family Cohort Study will assess the health of mothers, partners and babies antenatally, following birth and into young adulthood. It will be the first major cohort study in Australia to investigate causes of disease and long term outcomes, by using biological data and health information to establish risk factors and health outcomes.
Such incredible scientific advancements are only made possible by the support of supporters just like you. Thank you!
