And we’re off!

And we’re off!

As soon as 2017 rolled in, so did all the amazing tradespeople and suppliers. It was time to start building the seventh Plantation Homes House for Life!

Local suppliers and subcontractors support Plantation Homes, by volunteering their time and donating resources, to build a luxury home. The finished home is then auctioned, with all proceeds supporting mothers and the seriously ill and premature babies cared for at Mater.

The total funds raised for Mater Little Miracles through the previous six Plantation Homes House for Life projects, is more than $2.1 million.

This year’s elevated block with stunning views of Springfield Lakes has been a hive of activity. The site has been set-out and we can already tick off post holes, retaining walls and under slab drainage.

Rex from Designer Image Gardens told us that he is really happy to be donating his time to help build the house. He said that he has had some health issues of his own and he knows how important it is to support health-related charities—he believes that every little bit helps.

Tye and Fred from Andrew Gleeson Plumbing are thrilled to be involved in such a wonderful project. They can’t wait to see the finished home! Andrew and his team have volunteered to help build several houses as part of Plantation Homes House for Life over many years.

We’d like to thank Rex, Tye, Fred and Andrew for their generous support of Mater Little Miracles and the very important part they’re playing in building the house.

We’ll keep you updated with pictures as the build progresses.
