Andrew Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
Andrew joined Mater Foundation as Chief Executive on 22 June 2020.
He is a recognised leader in the non-profit sector in Australia and was previously the Chief Marketing & Fundraising Officer, Children’s Hospital Foundation. He brings to this role an established background in fundraising and philanthropic leadership having served in a number of significant non-profit organisations in Queensland: Children’s Hospital Foundation, Endeavour Foundation and Surf Life Saving Foundation.
With extensive knowledge in philanthropy and trustee services, Andrew also brings to Mater Foundation experience forged through the development of Perpetual Trustees’ expansive portfolio of work in funds management in the philanthropic sector.
In addition to Andrew’s deep understanding of organisations across a diverse range of specialties, he also has experience in Board and executive level stakeholder relationships, large-scale lottery operations; and understands the importance of connecting with community to drive an organisation’s relevance and impact.
Andrew is currently a Non-Executive Director of Coact and Loreto College, and the proud father of three daughters who were all born at Mater.
