From life-saving equipment to pioneering research, generosity has transformed care for thousands of Queenslanders.

Support funded vital technology including advanced ultrasound machines for seriously ill and premature babies, and surgical robots that enable delivery of complex procedures through small incisions. These innovations mean safer care and better outcomes for patients across Queensland.

Community giving also drives groundbreaking research. Together, we’ve launched a dedicated mothers and babies research centre and funded clinical trials into cancers and chronic illness. This investment in knowledge shapes care for generations to come.

Every act of generosity empowers Mater’s clinicians and researchers to continue to deliver world-class care and life-changing discoveries for those who need it most.

Clinical trials are active at Mater Research across mother and baby, cancer, neurosciences, chronic and integrated care. Babies like little Billie are here today because of Azalea—a trial that assessed treatments for Rhesus disease.
