More than 300 triathletes raised over $580,000 for cancer research at Mater.
As part of Noosa Triathlon, the Mater Smiling for Smiddy triathletes completed the 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run alongside cheers from Team Smiddy.
Funds raised are used to support dedicated teams of researchers at Mater Research, who are working on potentially life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of various types of cancer.
Mater Smiling for Smiddy has been participating at Noosa Triathlon for more than 13 years, and as Platinum Charity Partner since 2014.
