Dr Ben Lancashire is an accomplished breast and endocrine surgeon with extensive expertise in surgical management of benign and malignant breast disease, as well as disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Lancashire holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from The University of Queensland and a Master of Advanced Breast Surgery from The University of Sydney.
In addition to his private practice as a breast and endocrine surgeon at the Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane, Dr Lancashire is a visiting surgeon with BreastScreen Queensland and is actively involved in breast cancer trial research.
Dr Lancashire is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand, the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons, and General Surgeons Australia - reflecting his commitment to high quality, evidence based multidisciplinary care.
Outside of his work, Dr Lancashire enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
