Shaune Watts recognised as a Mater Foundation Community Hero
In March, we acknowledge Shaune Watts who has been named a Mater Foundation Community Hero.
Shaune has shown tremendous commitment to the Mater Foundation in raising funds for Mater Little Miracles over the past 12 years.
Shaune and his wife Kimberley’s son, Noah, was born premature and critically ill, weighing just 1090 grams. Like many babies born premature, Noah required immediate and lifesaving care – relying on a ventilator to breathe during his first weeks of life.
Shaune has used this experience to inspire his fundraising efforts and support critically ill babies that are cared for in the Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) at Mater each year.
Shaune has contributed in excess of $700,000 to purchase life-saving equipment for the NCCU at Mater.
Thank you Shaune, we value your contribution.
