In April, we acknowledge Blue Commercial, who has been named a Mater Foundation Community Hero.

Blue Commercial has participated in International Women’s Day Fun Run for the last four years, raising over $55,000 in 2023, bringing their total contribution to $158,422 in funds raised for Mater Chicks in Pink. This will make big difference to breast cancer patients and their loved ones.

This year, Blue Commercial took a more innovative approach to its fundraising efforts, tapping into its network to gather prizes to raffle off, holding a Bunnings BBQ, and partnering with the 50-50 Charity Raffle at Brisbane Racing Club's Girls Day Out Race Day.

Unfortunately, breast cancer has a far-reaching presence and over the years the event has taken on more meaning for our team, as people within our community have been diagnosed, undergoing treatment or passed,” says a representative from Blue Commercial.

We’re privileged that through our relationships with Mater we learn of the direct impact the funds raised make for women with breast cancer. We had an absolute blast, and it was great to get amongst the wider community to support a cause Brisbane knows well and share our stories.

Thank you, Blue Commercial, we value your contribution and commitment.
