We are delighted to recognise Neville and Sue Partridge as Mater Foundation Community Heros!

Neville and Sue’s story is one of love, resilience, and gratitude.

The couple began fundraising for Mater Chicks in Pink in 2020 after their granddaughter, Amy Gibbs, underwent breast cancer surgery following a BRCA2 diagnosis. Thanks to the care she received at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, Amy is now in remission and back working as a clinical nurse in Orthopaedics.

Neville and Sue began by hosting morning teas and making handmade carry bags for patients. Now, they continue their heartfelt support by selling honey from their own beehives to raise monthly donations for Mater Chicks in Pink

Their message is simple but powerful:

“Thanks to the Mater Family and Dr Chris Pike for caring for Amy, who has blessed us with two beautiful little girls.”

Mater Foundation Community Hero recognises and celebrates the outstanding contributions of our volunteers, fundraisers and advocates.

Thank you, Neville and Sue, for being shining examples of community spirit and compassion. We value your incredible contribution.
